Where the Roush Rims!
#2
Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing any knock-off Roush wheels. You will find the Cobra "R" wheels to be pretty similar, but seems to me the spokes are wider on the Roush. You will also not find the "ROUSH" embossed into one of the spokes and that stands out quite a bit. My Saleen knock-offs don't have "SΔLEEN" embossed near the valve stem, but OEM font is very small and probably most don't even know it is there.

Roush wheels were never copied due to tight patents on them. If you see the 99-03 18" style (like mine or Roush 85) they are rare. Original sticker was $1,100 per rim. Roush changed the style in 04 to a flatter spoke, those you can only get in chrome and are still spendy. $500 per wheel isn't bad. There are other styles. Roush used a 17" argent wheel on the V6 cars and the Jack Roush Classic. At the time, nobody liked them, but now nobody will sell a set if they have them. Earlier Roush wheels (used from 95-97/98 on Roush cars) are even harder to find since you could only get them on a car. They were made by Prime Wheels for Roush and had a more rounded spoke to them.

Thanks Jazzer... I only know that kinda random crap because I had to look into it at one point. The girl who owned my car new didn't like the Roush wheels, so sold them off of it. I had to track down a set when I bought it. I started with the 17" in chrome, then had 18x9" in chrome all the way around, traded to the 18x9/18x10" argents that are on there now and wouldn't ever get rid of them now that I know how hard they are to find.
And just FYI, the S197 18" have a different offset than the SN95 models do, so they won't look quite right on the car in relation to the body.

Stage 3 Motorsports has been the best place to buy new ones from. $1200 for a set of the 'flat' late 03 and 04 style (like on the blue car I posted). The set is 18x9/18x10 in chrome. Or if you wait long enough, sometimes you can buy them used on Fnsweet.com. If you really play your cards well, sometimes you can find one or two for sale at a time, and just get a set over a period of several months.
