Default Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tires

Does anybody have any experience with these tires? Good/bad/indifferent doesn't matter.

I'm mostly interested in responses for 2005-up Mustangs, but anybody's help is encouraged.

FWIW, I've been saving for a set of 18 x 9.5" GT500 wheels and primarily looking at these tires for a couple of years, so it isn't the latest issue of Consumer Reports that's got me asking this question. Finances finally look like they can handle it.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have any experience with them in a Mustang, but I had a set on a 2007 G35 Sedan that was lowered on an Eibach Pro Kit with front and rear camber kits. The dry pavement performance was very good, but they didn't perform as well as the Bridgestone Potenzas that came on the car. The Potenzas were worn out at 15k miles. The wet pavement performance on these tires were downright amazing. It tends to rain a lot in GA from November - May. I could drive pretty spirited with these year round whereas I was somewhat cautious on the Bridgestones even after a 5 minute summer shower. I had a little road noise out of the Goodyears for about 1,500 miles, and then they were as quiet as anything I've owned. I put over 20,000 miles on that set when I sold the car, and the tires still looked new.

Thanks, jsn. Bridgestone does seem to be able to make tires with above average response.

Keep the replies coming, guys. I will reply.

Which Potenzas, jsn? RE050A's?
(Lots of upper/performance oriented Japanese models come with RE050A's despite the rather optomistic 140 treadwear rating - they came OE on my wife's Legacy 2.5GT, and are about 1/3 worn at 6k miles or so. I'm looking at Pilot AS Plus or B'stone RE960AS there).
