Default New set of wheels and nitto tires

Hi am in the market for a new set of rims and tires for my Bullitt and i have found some good packages on FR500's from cruizen concepts but was curious as to peoples experience with the NT555's and the new NT05' and INVO tires to see if they might be better options any help is much appreciated
Thanks

I bought 4 new Nito555's and I love them. I'm running 315's in the rear and 255/40's in the front. They look amazing (I'll post a picture of my rear tires below) The only bad is there is quite a bit of road noise when you're at higher speeds but it doesn't bother me much

I am also curious what size people are running 17's or 18's hoping to get some help in making an informed decision

01bullitt... The tires you purchase should match the needs of YOU as a driver!

What kind of driving do you do? Each of the tires mentioned fits a different purpose and must answer this question in order to fit your needs

type of driving is typically spirited street use, track runs and hopefully some autocross use. Never comes out in the winter and very little if any rain use. hope that help and thanks again for all the awesome advice its really making this huge investment decision easier.

OK... I would avoid the NT555's. They are a nice tire, but not for your needs. If you are looking for a Summer-only tire, I would look to a nice soft compound for TONS of latteral grip.

When you say "track runs"... do you mean 1/4 mile track?

If so, this seriously complicates the issues before you A great tire for AX is a HORRIBLE tire for 1/4 mile use. If a good launch AND good cornering is what you need, can you afford a second set of wheels/tires?

I will still have my 17 inch stock bullitt rims that i could use to mount a set of AX tires on but if i go to 18's staggered 9 and 10 i would like tires that are good at the 1/4 but are also fun for spirited street use if that makes sense

^ There is no "great" tire for the needs of your description

You will find one that is great for either, but NOT both. A good "in between" tire would be the Nitto NT555R (not the RII's) If you can narrow down your desire for either a high-performance street or high-performance 1/4 mile track tire, you can focus on a GREAT tire for one of those needs.

A great 1/4 mile tire will be horrible on the street, so if you REALLY want a good one, buy a third set of rear-wheels ONLY and put some M/T's or the like on them. They can be found pretty cheap and easy to swap at the event, so you don't need to drive them on the street.
