Default Curb Rash

Has anyone fixed curb rash themselves using the wheel restoration kit? Should I have it professionally done? Thanks for the opinions!

I would have it professionally done, absolutely. Did some damage to my RTRs and got them done locally. Couldn't tell the difference, visually or to the touch. Just have to shop around.
