About a year ago I bought a set of Race Star wheels off craigslist. They're 17x4.5 front and 15x8 rear Super Star's in black.

The rears fit perfect but the fronts don't clear my brembo calipers. I had some 1" spacers lying around that are not hub-centric and I've made about 20-30 passes with this setup. No street miles.

I'm about to boost my car and I'm having concerns the spacers will hold up to 600whp 1/4 mile passes. I'm wondering what the cost vs. performance benefit is of getting some hub-centric spacers or just getting new wheels entirely. Race Star has discontinued the Super Stars plus I don't think they ever made a 17x4.5 with more backspacing/offset anyways. Thoughts?
