Default 2018 PP2 - 305 tires all around?

I’m driving a PP1 GT, so I’ve got 255s up front and 275s on the rear.

The new PP2 has 10.5 inch wheels up front and 11 inch wheels in the back... all fitted with 305 tires.

Is is possible to find any wheels that would make this possible in the aftermarket? From what i’ve seen, I believe the maximum that I’ve found for the front of a power package equipped stang is a 9.5 wheel? Is a 275 inch tire roughly the max I could stick on the front? How did ford squeeze such wide wheels in?

Kinetic, It has been shown a S550 Mustang can comfortably accommodate a 315 tire in the back and a 305 wide tire in the front. Running a 315 tire requires no modifications for clearance, (only requires a rim wide enough to mount it: minimum 10 inches) and the same goes for the 305 width up front.

As far as rim height is concerned, provided "proper offset and backspacing", a 305 wide tire on a 20" wheel can be cleared. Certain other sizes can be utilized as well, however it can depend on suspension setups.

Okay, but do you have any examples of 10 inch (or any rim that’s compatible with 305) that works on the front? Every wheel I find that is 10 inches claims it’s only for the back, not the fronts.

Kenetic, 10 and 10.5s is doable up front. 11" you start to see some issues.

the 10" 6GR wheels are bolt and go.

The 11" Project 6GR wheels will fit with a 20mm spacer, and will poke from the fenders.

You can pull the fenders and run more aggressive camber to get a majority of the tire to fit under the fender.

Let me know if you like what they offer.

Ford has been stingy about making their top corner-carving wheel & tire setups available in the "lower" trim levels. The room is there, but it seems they don't feel any need or value in making it widely available.

You will have to look beyond the mass-market Mustang houses to shops such as Vorshlag. I'd stick with 19's, as that seems to be what the corner-carving setups from the factories are currently using.

The mass-market houses are always very conservative about their front wheel width recommendations. Have been for as long as I can remember.

With the right offset, you should be able to fit even 11" wide wheels up front, although they probably won't have the same offset as 11" wide rear wheels. Just so you know, I'm running 18x11 wheels all around on my S197 for track days and limited street duty, and Ford never spec'ed that much wheel for either end of any production S197.

The PP2 wheels and tire sidewalls do 'poke' a little, about the same as my 18x11's, but as long as you can stay off gravel roads you should be OK.
