Angry Tires rubbing

I am having issues with my rear tires rubbing when I hit a dip in the road, like when you come of a bridge. I am running 15x8 American Racing Torque Thrust D with 4.5" backspacing, tires are BFG 225s. Is this combo wrong for a 65 Fastback?

Default Tires rubbing

Blk65Stang, this was submitted by awhtx on the Vintage Mustang Forum; 65/66 Mustangs have very small wheelhouses so you are restricted on which tires will fit without rubbing. Rolling the fender lips will help. You absolutely cannot use "deep dish" rims with very little backspacing. A 215/70R15 on a 15x6 or 15x7 wheel with proper backspacing ought to fit OK.
Also, Rlfa83 states; Go for 16's. They fit the car great.
I'm running (or soon to be rather) 16x8 with 225/50's all the way around. Hope this info helps.
