Not that I have anything against an automatic, but there’s something epic about wheeling a fast stick-car down the strip. It takes a ton of skill not only at the launch, but with each subsequent shift because after all, every shift is an opportunity to miss a gear and completely blow the run. And this incredibly difficult task only gets harder the faster the car is. So it should come as no surprise that we have huge respect for the owner of this turbocharged Fox-body who’s rowing the gears on the way to 9-ohs in the quarter!

Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) has teamed up with the American Diabetes Association and Lilly Diabetes to get Ryan Reed behind the No. 16 Ford Mustang full-time for the 2104 NASCAR Nationwide Series.

We figured it wouldn’t be long before a new facial rendering of the 2015 Ford Mustang surfaced following the recent leaked photo of the new car’s front end. The car in question is owned by John Stock and competes in the ultra cool NHRA Super Stock Eliminator that has an eclectic blend of cars all competing for the same prize. Seriously, you’ve got roadsters, Hemi-powered Mopars, big-power Fords and fast Chevys. It’s a cool class and the story of this Cobra is even cooler!

If you’re Mustang fan, you were probably bummed that you didn’t have a million dollars lying around when an original 1967 Ford Mustang “Eleanor” from “Gone in 60 Seconds” was sold for that amount at a Mecum Auction earlier this year. No worries, if you can manage to get to the Chicago area this Saturday and now have a little more money to play with you might get a second shot at picking one up.

Next year probably can’t come soon enough for Ford Motor Co. when it comes to revving up sales for the Mustang. For the third straight month, the Ford pony car trailed the Chevrolet Camaro in total number of vehicles sold in the segment.
