Couple has Ford Mustang Themed Wedding

Think you’re a Ford Mustang fanatic? Perhaps, but probably not as much as Brian Johnson and Rene Doane. The couple tied last month with a completely Mustang-themed wedding complete with custom-made Mustang rings, Mustang lapel pins, a Mustang cake topper, Mustang-themed tables and even a Mustang garter belt. There were even two Ford Mustangs, a 2005 and a 2009, flanking the couple as they said their vows. And what did the lucky couple drive away in? I don’t think we even need to answer that…

Designers Report 2015 Mustang Will be “Stunning”

Perhaps no other future car has been rendered as many times as the 2015 Mustang (one example shown above). Some are received with praise, others with hatred, and many times it’s a combination of both. In reality it doesn’t matter, though as the drawings are mere speculation and don’t represent the real thing. There are people who have seen the final design, however, and the outlook seems overwhelmingly positive. Edmunds.com recently interviewed several members of the automotive design community that have actually laid eyes on the production 2015 Mustang, and have reported what they heard.

Mustang Crushes Camaro in June, Claims Annual Sales Lead

After trailing the Chevrolet Camaro in each of the first four months of 2013, the Ford Mustang has battled back – beating the Camaro badly in June sales with a margin of over 2,000 units. More importantly, while the Mustang has only won 2 of the 6 months in 2013, the pummeling handed out by the original Pony car in June has allowed Ford’s Mustang to climb into the top spot in 2013 annual muscle car sales with a lead of almost 800 units.

The Mustang 1 Concept

As part of the countdown to the Mustang’s fifty year anniversary, Ford is digging back into its extensive archive and releasing details on some very cool stuff, like this original Mustang 1 concept from 1962. Obviously the two-seat, mid-engine configuration did not make it to production, but the name, logo and some other small details made it to the original 1964 1/2 Mustang.

2015 Mustang Spotted on the Road!

We might not be able to see it very well, we’re pretty sure that this is the next generation Mustang. The camouflage precludes us from having any idea of what it might look like like underneath it all. That exhaust note is impossible to miss though.

Ford Confirms GT350 and Mach 1 for 2016

Last week we reported that Ford might be dropping the Shelby GT500 in favor of the SVT Cobra for the next generation Mustang, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the Shelby name will be disappearing from the Ford lineup. According to our sources inside Ford, the company will introduce a Shelby GT350 model for 2016, a year after the next generation Mustang is launched for 2015. The big news is that the car will be an official Ford factory model, similar to the current Shelby GT500, and unlike the current GT350 model that is only a post-title package available directly from Shelby. Details about the 2016 Shelby GT350 are understandably scarce at the moment, but we hear it will be more of a stripped-down performance car just like in 1965, and expect it to be more affordable than the current model, which starts at just over $58,000.
