Vortech’s 640-hp Mustang will rip the planet apart

It certainly will be hard to miss this one at SEMA, which kicks off Nov. 4.

The Vortech supercharged Mustang GT is painted in a color called “Competition Orange”, which is about as eye-catching as colors come on cars. Additional exterior features include a carbon fiber front lip, the aforementioned 20-inch wheels, a coilover suspension and a Magnaflow exhaust.

But like most Mustangs at SEMA, it’s underneath the hood where this pony car really comes to life. Vortech says the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 pumps out 640 horsepower, but can be tuned up to 1,200 horsepower.
