Regional 1: Formula Drift — New Jersey

June 17-18

Regional 2: Woodward Dream Cruise — Michigan

August 19

If you need more time to make an awesome film, a second date has been added for another round of finalists. This will take place on Woodward Avenue in Detroit. The entry cutoff for this event is July 22.

Meet the judges, four guys who know automotive entertainment better than most:

  • Matt Farah — The Smoking Tire
  • Fred Williams — 4-Wheel and Off-Road Magazine
  • Ryan Tuerk — Formula Drift
  • David Freiburger — Roadkill

If you’re a finalist in the Optima Film Fest, it means these guys saw your work and personally handpicked it as one of the best. That’s not all — the films will be screened to auto enthusiasts and important figures in the industry. You’ll gain visibility and respect as a top-tier automotive filmmaker. You never know who could be watching.

Some final films screened at each event will be selected for screening at the Optima Ultimate Film Fest. This takes place on November 2 at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the show, a live audience will vote to determine the ultimate winner!
