Twin Turbo ’67 Eleanor Rips the Strip

How menacing looking is this thing, right? Oh, and to be clear – it has the goods to back up that intimidating presence. Dressed in all black, this twin turbo powered ’67 Mustang GT500 even lets off a gloriously wicked roar, as highlighted in the 1320video below.

No word on exactly how much power this 3380-lb beast is putting down to the rear wheels, but the owner is running low to mid 6-second runs on drag radials for the ¼ mile. And from some of the early starts featured in the two- minute clip, this Eleanor-themed Fastback is capable of edging into that 5-second range, given the right conditions.

Just watching this thing blast down the drag strip in the video is highly entertaining. So I can only imagine what it’s like to actually be there and see her live in action. But I’m sure the video is enough for some would-be contenders who’d prefer to keep their own image intact.
