Default 2011 mirrors on 2006 GT

Just finished modifying 2011 mirrors to fit my 2006 GT, I really like them alot,
they are smaller then the 05/09 mirrors, they are identical to the 2010 except that they have the blind spot mirrors built in, they have totally eliminated the blind spot that I had on the left side, I never really had a issue with the right side.

What did you have to modify to get them to fit? They look really good.

drill 1 new hole and elongate another, there is also a locating pin on the back of the new mirror that I decide to cut off instead of having to drill another hole, about 1 hour to remove old mirrors, modify and install new ones.

Are the electronics the same? That sounds like a pretty straight forward project.

If someone else does this, please do a "how to" write up with pictures.

They look great.
I've been wanting to do this for awhile. Where did you buy the new mirrors at?

Very nice, do you have any larger pics? Do you have the painted caps too?
