Default Question about rim fitment?

I found a guy looking to get rid of the FR500 17" rims he has on his 99 mustang. I have an 06 and am worried that the different offsets will make the rear tires stick out too much. To add to the problem, he's running a 315 tire in the back. Does anyone have pictures of how far out it would stick, or any knowledge about it? Please help me out, this would be a great trade if these tires aren't too big for my car! Thanks

Found this pic on Google, this is a New Edge offset on an s197.

I had 255s with a NE offset on my car and they stuck out, they looked decent but if the tire had been any wider it would have looked strange, IMO.

+1 to what Tanner said. 255's would probably be good, but a 10"+ rim (especially with 315's) is going to stick out like that pic.

I don't know how I feel about that look.... kinda cool but I'm wondering about it's practicality. One bad road and you'll be kicking tar or gravel up into your rear quarters...
