Default Looking for suspension/wheel ideas...

I'm tossing around the idea of lowering my car and getting wider rims in place of my 18" bullitts. First off, if I only lower the car, how goofy would it look with the stock wheels and tires (235/50R18). I think it would make the "tucked under" appearance of the stock wheels even more evident.

Second, any suggestions for a nice wheel that would go with the rest of my car? I'm not going to lie, I LOVE the bullitts, I just wished they were bigger and wider. I'd like to find a 19 or 20" version of them that is NOT chrome

So give me some ideas guys

Why would it make the car look goofy? AmericanMuscle.com has a good variety of Bullit wheels.

Maybe it wouldn't...

I was just assuming that most cars with aftermarket springs at least put on wider wheels to bring them flush against the fenders. I'm not a fan of the "tucked in" look on lowered cars that havent done this.

It's not that they put on wider tires, it's that the offset changes so the wheels are further out in the wheel well. I think someone said the stock offset is +55 and a lot of folks are going with something between +35 and +45. Could do spacers if you are happy with your wheels and want to bring them out to the edge further.

I do have the same wheels and lowered and yeah, it does make it even more evident how far the wheels are tucked in.

This is mine lowered with FRPP K springs on the stock wheels.

This is lowered with Wheel Replics black bullitt wheels with polished lip. 18x10 back and 18x9 front.

Certainly nothing more than what D'prived has. We are in the same city so I'm sure I will be safe with clearance if he is. Any other CS front bumper guys that can chime in here? I know that makes me closer to the ground on stock springs as is.

I would recommend our sport springs in that case.

They provide an approximate 1" (F) and 1.25" (R) drop, are made in the USA and feature a lifetime limited warranty. They have a great ride quality and improve handling.

Let me know if I can get you a set of those.

...I used these wheels from an '03. they have a diffrent (less) offset than ours and thus move out toward the fender edge.

They are 17s as I wanted a more retro look for the Bullitt. Car is dropeed with steeca Sports.
