I've been looking at a lot of cars with these size tires. I came across a corvette forum with lots and lots of cars running 275/30/19's on the front. They look freaking great! Now I did see unlowered cars with that size and it looked stupid. So lowering is the key. I plan on lowering immediately so I'm feeling good that its going to be fine. Really only one way to find out.

As for changing out to a 275/35 instead of the 275/30: I looked at a lot of pics of those two and really you cant see a difference. I dont think it would be worth the $60 in fee's it would cost for a difference you'd never really see IMO.

I'm all ears for suggestions though. Even if I dont follow them I'm happy to listen and learn. Thanks.

I wish you the best.

Those cars were designed with a 25" diameter tire, not a 27"!!! You're endangering yourself and those around you, just to save a buck. If you can't do something right, don't do it at all.

I hope that you miraculously live somewhere that no one else does.

Save a buck? Low profile tires cost more! You need to back up those claims with some facts before I'll even start to believe you. People change tire sizes all day long yet I dont hear of anyone dying because they ran a different size than stock. If those sizes are good enough for a street ready, Saleen production Mustang, then theyre good enough for me. Your brakes arent going to quit working either. Bring me hard facts and lets hear some experts chime in on this. I've been on this forum forum since '06 and never have I heard anyone say that you'll die and kill everyone around you if you dont run a stock sized tire.

Nobody said anything about ONLY stock sized tires working.

I simply stated that you are so far off from stock sizing, it's dangerous.

I understand what your saying. I'd just like to know your reasoning as to why. I cannot understand how it would be dangerous.

A quick call to an expert at TireRack, could answer your question.

Pennywise, how's the ride now? I just lined up a deal with another member on here for the same wheels except 19x9s all around, now just have to decide on tires. Just wondering if these sidewalls/springs will crush vertebrae.
