Default Bad drive shaft on new 2013 GT

Only a month old. Had vibration between 55-70 mph.
Ford dealer just called and said the new replacement shaft is wobbling too.
Now what?

Not really sure what you're asking here. Common sense would say you ensure they replace with a new shaft that doesn't wobble.

Agreed. Now what, what?

Shiz happens. New production model will have some bugs. I don't care who makes it.

maybe its not the drive shaft, if the new one is wobbling, too.

you shouldn't have to ask now what. your dealer should diagnose the problem and fix it. if they can't, you can escalate the case, but give them a chance to fix it or prove they can't fix it, first.

They are waiting for a reply from the Ford Hot Line on what to do now. They seem baffled by the problem.
I agree, seems like the shaft might not be the problem.

hmmm that's not projecting much confidence in their ability. do you have any other ford dealers nearby?

there is also a couple of ford CS reps that browse the forum sometimes - you could find them and PM them - they can escalate the case and get further remote assistance as needed.

Could be the fit within the tranny or rear axle?

Bad U-joints have been known to cause this and another cause if the mechanic installed the same broken DS, this has happened before as well. Same as a Dr. amputating the wrong foot.

My guess is that it isn't the driveshaft and that the dealership mis-diagnosed the problem. I agree with most of the posts here and let the dealership fix it correctly under warranty.

If they don't come up with anything soon, PM one of the CS folks here and they can help you move it up the chain at Ford.

If they just CAN'T get it fixed - that's what the lemon law is for. Check with your State's provisions on it.

Had the same problem on my 2013 Mustang GT. I had a rear end leak right were the drive shaft comes into the rear end. When they fixed it the drive shaft had that wobble. They put in a new one and the same affect until my 2nd new one that works smoothly. Just Have them put in a another new drive shaft until it works
