Thanks for the 20 pages of info guys! I have an '05 GT coupethat I bought about 4 months ago. It didn't have the leak issue until I changed the cabin air filter (assuming this was a GOOD thing to do), so I assume my leak has something to do with the cowl. I've got to get this fixed. This morning I had about 2 pints of water just pour onto the floor. I'm at the point where I carry a dry towel in my car at all times now.

Sad Ford... really sad.

Well, I fixed my water leak. I posted a write-up with several pictures on my home board (change the zero to an o - its ridiculous that this is "censored") - http://www.m0ddedmustangs.com/forums...sign-ford.html

Here are a few highlights -

(note the slugde in the grass that came out of the grommet thing)

And no, I didn't put the grommet back in.

Nice.
I will have to check my drain grommet for blockage.

WTF? I used the screwdriver to take the retaining tabs off. The yellow rubber on the hood latch has always been there.

What exactly does the grommet being blocked have to do with water getting inside the car? Shouldn't there not be any way inside regardless of the ducts for draining water?

Water appears to fill up the drainage area (via plugged grommets) and then spill over into the cabin air intake filter, soaking through the filter and into the interior.

Is it confirmed that this fixes the problem? Because if it is, it's simply a matter of replacing the grommet with some kind of mesh. But the TSB calls for seam sealer around the grommet. That just dosen't make sense.
