Here is a pic of what a crows footwrench looks like.
You can easily see how a 3/8 driver will work with it.

I'm sure you all sit at home and wonder about these things, but how many hours have been spent dealing with this problem? Lost time at work, time installing parts trying to fix the problem, time writing/reading these posts, researching the problem, losing sleep at night, plotting the car's secret destruction, unsuccessful trips to multiple dealers with resulting fits of rage, you get the point. obviously, this is not the end of the world, but it's REALLY FREAKING OFF-PISSING. i made that up. and this is not the only problem with this car. leak into passenger compartment, rear axle whine, thud under shifter, thud from under passenger seats, and who knows what else people aren't reporting. WHAT'S THE DEAL FOLKS? granted, it's one of the best mustangs ever made in some respects, but do the positives of the S197 [near 50/50 weight distribution, stiff chasis, 300 hp from 4.6, 28k price, retro look] outweigh all the sh!tty stuff? food for thot.

Yes...............yes they do. You get all those and more from other makes and models. Nothing different here. The days of the perfect car are gone if they ever existed. It's up to the owner to decide which one best suits them. For me, the fit is nice with the GT.

It's a love/hate realtionship for sure. But I guess I'd rather have the lows and highs than settle for the boring middle. I knew I was buying a Ford and not a Lexus, so i bought the extended warranty, and I'm already gladI did - just being entitled to a rental car for overnight service visits makes it well worth it.

I've got mine fixed now and it seems to be an ok car now. However, the way Ford handled and is still handling the problem is ridiculous and will keep me from ever buying another Ford product. Even nowmost dealersknow nothing about the fix. We shouldn't have to deal with showing and proving toan unbelievingdealer how to fix the car. Sorry guys, but this is my last Fix Or Repair Daily car!

I agree with you on the service part. . . lack-thereof. I just can't say that I'll never buy another Ford. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the trucks I had and wish i still had them, but the chevy trucks just bore me. . . maybe I see a Cummins-powered tow vehicle in my future. . . And I drove a 95 Escort Wagon across the country to Alaska and back and it was a really good little car. It's just that the experience with the service aspect on the Mustang has been about 95% attrocious, aside from my current service writer who's just a diamond in the rough. Blah blah blah. . .Maybe i'll have better luck with my 94 GT 5.0 track car!!!!

Yes, the fix is great. This Mustangsounds like a car is suppose to sound now. I'm just disappointed in what I had to go through to get the car fixed.
My Corvette is in another league from the Mustang. And rightfully so when comparing the costs. I did trade my 07 Corvette in for an 08 now. Crazy huh? For $9685 more and allthe upgrades and changeswith the 08s I couldn't resist. L92 heads, slightly bigger cam, dual mode exhaust, gear upgrade, improved steering and the list goes on. This 08 is going to be an 11 second car with minimal tuning to remove torque management andcool air.

LarryS: hey man! so the fix wasn't 'all that' for you? i'm still waiting for mine to get fixed. In all honesty, please explain how much better your vette/s are. Fit and finish? Driveability? fun factor? exhaust note? i've never really liked the way they look, but the more i see them whomping around the road courses, the more they attract me.
