I don't see any speaker in the back seat, and only counted 4 in the front seats, so only 4 speakers on the Shaker 500 system?

Are there any speaker under the rearwindow? I forgot to check that, my car is in the shop right now.

check your owners manual, or the Ford website.
There are 8 speakers!
the 2 big woofers on the door, 2 hidden door speakers, 2 little tweeters in thedash and 2 speakers in the back under the rear window

2 in the rear deck lid (unless you have a 'vert, then they are in the side panels of the rear seat area)
2 subs in the front doors
4 in the front door above the subs (the speakers in the front door that look like 6x8 speakers are actually a metal plate with a seperate tweater and midrange speaker, so 2 in each door = 4 speakers)

The Shaker 1000 is the same setup with a subwoofer box added in the trunk with 2 additional subs
for a total of 10 speakers

Wow 8! I didn't even know there were that many. All I could count was 2 sub in the front doors and another 2 speakers there, a total of 4.

I'm going to get that out once I get my car back.

I guess you could say 8. I only count the door 6X8 as 1. They are old mach 460 speakers i thinik where the tweeter is mounted next to a 3.5-4 inch woofer. It is only one opening, if you replace your speakers you would have 6 to replace.

2 subs in door
2 rear 6X8
2 front door 6X8

You might want to check YOUR owners manual. There are no tweeters in the dash. There are 8 speakers, but none in the dash.

Funny, I was just going to start this same thread, because I know it says there's 8 speakers in the 500, but I could only ever find 6, and I was really curious where the other two were.

Kinda pushing it a bit to call the "two" upper ones in the door "two" instead of one, but now I know.

Yeah, they are what is called a "plate speaker". It is a single housing, but inside that housing are two seperate speaker elementsne tweeter and one midrange.
