2009 mustang spied
dunno if this has been posted but http://www.leftlanenews.com/2007/01/...-ford-mustang/
photographers had only seconds for a drive-by photo-blitz, spies say the first word that came to mind was "Giugiaro."
Does kind of look like it but you can see it still has the same headlights and fogs pretty much as before

If that's the future I'm glad I bought my 2006. Looks like a new Dodge Charger/Mustang hybrid. The front seems to be the "secret" as far as body style. The rear looks the same though. HP will be a BIG factor - any word on that (maybe a 5.0L+ GT engine?)
Our 05 - 08 cars will be "instant classics" regradless.

I don't know that I'd put a huge amount of money that. I was watching something on either Discovery Channel or Speed Channel when they were doing a workup of the C6 Corvettes, and they put masks across the front of the C6 to hide the body shape.
A Popular Mechanics photographer was trying to get pictures in this special that I was watching, and it showed him standing on cars trying to look over the fence of a test track, etc. And what the "spy" pictures looked like were ENTIRELY different from what the car ended up looking like.
I actually really liked watching that show, though, because it gave an insight as to 1) what the designers go through in building & testing a car, what the industry goes through to get their "first look" photos, and what the car companies go through to prevent those spy photos from being accurate.

Looks like there is a pad or something under that cover to hide the shape of the hood.
Seemstoo bulkyat the very front to be the real hood.
Also, looks to me they just took styling cues from the concept and applied them to the front
facsia only, like the GT500.
Cheers!

Most concept cars never make the final cut. Some of it I like, some of it is crap. If they scrape off the crap, it might be nice. If not It, will only make the S197's more valuable and higher in demand. I'll take my S197 thank you...
