You know, I had never really thought about replacing my shifter until I read this thread and watched the video's on MGW's site. Now it may be one of my next mods. How does that work???

Either way, best write-up I've seen in a very long time. Great job.

Thanks guys!

A writer from Mustang Life liked the write-up so much he asked if he can feature it in their Tech Section. Of course, I said [sm=signs007.gif] !

FD, yup, my son took most of the pics except for the ones under the car.

Obviously I'm not going to do this mod to my auto trans GT but as a retired graphic artist I have the greatest admiration for your professional production and the attention to minute detail that you incorporate in your "How To Do It" series. For the modestly mechanically inclined individuals, you make it possible for them to do their own mods and experience the sence of achievement in doing it themselves. I have read your write-ups and watched your videos with much interest even if I don't intend on doing the mods.

Bill, I have to ask, are you a graphics pro of any kind?

Thanks so much for your entertaining instructional write-ups. I look forward to seeing the next one.

Thanks guys for the kind words and support!

For those wanting to know how all this startedout for me,way back when, when doing research for my first mod (the Steeda Ultralite drop), I knew that I wanted to do the install myself, but found limited resources in the Forums on how to actually install the lowering springs. All assumed some level of experience orthey simply had written instructions, but no photos. It was like, "Lower the pumpkin and replace the springs.. now do the fronts."
So,I took a bunch of pictures mostly for reference, just incase I had torefer back to something during the install. Then I thought, since I had all the pics in sequence, why not jot down some install notes for each pic and post it? The rest is history.

No matter how simple a mod or install may seem, I do it anyway. There's always someone out there looking for the step by step that I was looking for back in my springs day.

Which btw, ifI don't have it up on here in MF, I'll post it up soon.

I wish! It's all a hobby (at this point). I started doing simple videos and photo slideshows for mainly family events. I'm an aircraft inspector by trade.
My current video editing software I'm using isSony Vegas 7.

Private or commercial? Do you have your private ticket. I'm a retired private pilot. The reason behind my screen name.

I'm a licensed A&P Mechanic.

I inspect the USAF C-17cargo plane for Boeing here in Long Beach, CA.

The reason behind my screen name is that my daily is a Tacoma TRD truck. Used this handle in the Tacoma Forums back in the day, name just stuck.
