Finally completed
I have finally got the car pretty much completed. The new Shelby GT functional ram air hood has finally been painted and put on, and I have replaced all of the fluid caps and the dipstick handle with the brand new billet stuff from Scott Drake. The Truefiber hoodwas supplied by my sponsor, www.Alliance247.com. It is a great quality hood, with no flexing or lifting at high speeds. It is a direct bolt on using the factory OEM hardware. I did have to trim the inside air opening to fit my CAI, which is a bit larger than most, and is steel framed. I have put an edge trim on it, though. The only thing left to do when I get energetic enough, is to hide most of the wiring harnesses that are on the top of the engine. It looks real clean when it's done, but it's amajorpain in the ***! A good polishing and waxing over the next couple of days, and it'll be ready for the Knott's Fabulous Fords show this Sunday.

VERY VERY NICE INDEED !!!!!!!!
1 question,..... Why'd ya "ditch" the hood liner ????? The BLACK on the outside, would compliment the BLACK under the hood. (I would think), and then paint the "lil ponys" in, witha RED sharpie !, or perhaps white, NAH, the red would pick-up the red from the hoses/lines. JMO
EXCELLANT JOB overall, I just would like to see the black hood liner/and redaccents, to complete it.

Ooooooh! I hadn't thought of that! That would look pretty cool. I just might have to take your idea and run with it. I could paint the pony's the same Ford Red as the cam covers are, and cut out the ram air opening. I ordered a polished billet alternator with red windings, but it won't be here in time for Knott's.

Great work man! I don't know what you did to get your block shiney where your radiator hoses connect. But its top notch. I have the same problem with the crank pulley being rusty though. I'm hesitant to change it as I am sure you are. Just an FYI you can get a billet alternator too.
I dig it all though. I can't wait to get at mine its in the body shop right now getting some good stuff installed but when I get her back its time to start installing my dress up too.
