Keep taking your time as not to mess up or scratch any paint!!!

Looking great though good work. Are you striping the hood only?

Yes stripes on the hood only and the paint we're using doesn't use oven curing. I'm nervous about putting the doors back together because of all that is involved and I don't want to scratch them!
Must learn patience.

oh man you need black 18" bullits on that beast and it will make grown men drool!!!! get as much black paint as you can in taht engine bay.

Must learn patience.


Put the latch mecanism on the doors first and latch'em on the stiker. That way they'll support themselves on that end and all you have to do is aim the holes with the hinges and zap the bolts in. Then you put your fenders onand align everything together. But I'm sure your father in law knows all that.

personally i like the origional paint job better. that black and green just go so well together. and the offset stripe was beautiful! hahah jk that looks great man, cant waite to see it all finished!

Wow...dunno how I missed this thread for the past month but I just read through 28 pages of Mustang GLORY! Kudos to you for breathing life into a surely doomed pony. Gives mea warm fuzzy feeling inside!

hey man, just curious... Did you sand the mirrors first or just paint them? Also, did you just spray the stripes onto the hood'spaintor did you sand the area first? Im just not sure how paint on paint works, need to know since I might paint stripes onto a new pre-painted spoiler.
