It wont cause any problems but if your still worried you could pull the window fuse.
Pulling the fuse will cause all sorts of weatherstripping problems.
The door will close strange and damage the weatherstrip. Dont
pull the fuse.

Don't worry about it. If you pull the fuse and try to close your doors with the windows all the way upyou can damage the glass and the weather strippingof the mirrors.
+1 dont pull the window fuse and then open and close the doors
Workshop manual advises against this to avoid damage.

Your tint guy will take care of it with the heat gun. If you watch he will also take a small screw driver and turn the latch within the catch on your door. This makes the system think the door is closed and the window will move up to the normal closed position so he can tint the whole window and cure it at the bottom. He will then turn them back to open position and window will drop back down so he can close the door.

Make sure you put the moleskin in or your tint will be ruined withina few weeks.

How about just having the tint guy not put the window all the way up when he's done? The drop only happens when the window is in the totally "up" position.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about, it will all work just fine. The installer will figure it out the second he opens the door.

If the Windows didn't drop down ... it would be impossible to shut your doors. They will open but will not shut. The best way to do it is shut the doors with windows up and then disconnect the battery. Open doors and windows stay up so you can install the tint all the way to bottom. Hook battery back up and windows will drop down so doors can shut again. I bought one of the precut kits on eBay for like $45 and did it myself and that is the method I used.

If you disable the window drop feature you will have a very difficult time opening the doors. I've went through a winter already having those damn things freeze on me.

-(fun)
Never thought of that happening, I hope I dont have that problem come winter in the DC area.....

dhimes, if you try the method I decribed above...... you don't have to disconnect the battery. It takes 2 seconds to open the door and flip the door catch with a small screw drive. Window goes up and full window can be tinted. You don't have to re-set everything in the car then
