How hard is it REALLY to steal a Mustang?
My cousin just had his stolen. Taken right out of his driveway. He said the keys (I can't verify this yet) were NOT in the car.
I don't have all the info but I thought this was a hard car to steal.

most new cars, w/out the keys, it's more difficult then it is worth.
i hear one new thing thieves are doing is waiting at gas stations and getting into people's cars while they are pumping gas.
don't leave your keys in the ignition when you arepumping gas.
also beware of burglaries. they get into your house and take your keys off thehook and steal your car.

I know this: A local dealer sent out in the mail one of the (cheap dealer keys that just opens
the door). The key was just taped to the outside of a contest entry form. Well,I took that key
and it opened my door. Couldn't believe the dealer sends out keys to the public that actually
work and open doors. I took it down to the dealer and said, r u frigging kidding me here, this
key open my door. All they really had to say was that "well, it won't start the car". IDIOTS

It's all about making the yours just a little harder to break into than the guys next to you - always locked and alarm on if it's not within my sight, nothing left out to tempt them (no cellphones, receipts, etc.), and of course, any decent burglar will know that the crappy Shaker 500 in my car isn't worth the effort

These cars a bit harder then older models, but with the windows being so weak w/o a frame I am sure it doesn't take much to get in.
I had a Fox stolen, this time around I got Lowjack...piece of mind.
