Looks good. Has to be the first how-to I've read on here that has peanut butter on the list of items needed!

I expected to see crackers on the items needed list.
Super job and write-up.

boozshey - The hood pins look really good. Did you use anything to keep the holes in the hood from rusting (other than peanut butter)?? I really want to put pins on my stang but the thought of drilling into the hood or rust down the line keeps me from doing it. Also do you have to worry about the paint cracking or chipping when you drilled or is this somthing you avoid by drilling from the bottom up??

Well you could use a touch up paint on the inside edges of the holes. But the fit is pretty tight with the pins and I think it would eventually scratch away. Im not so worried about rust though. You see that huge hole I already have in the hood. Well that's been there for about 5 months now and there is no sign of rust.

As for the paint chipping. That's what the tape on the top was there for. But even if the hood was to chip a little bit, any inperfections will be covered by the plates.

I would say that NO ONE should be affraid of doing this, but then again, I cut a HUGE hole in my hood without thinking twice...

The hoods are aluminum and aluminum does not rust....
