Vista Blue w/ Matte Black Stripes

RE: Vista Blue w/ Matte Black Stripes
Thanks for the stripes pic. I think this is the route I'm going to take (matte black superstripe). Sorry Tungsten, but I'm going with only the hood. I plan on putting a matte black spoiler on the back and possibly a blackout panel between the taillights. This should tie the front into the back nicely.

i deliberated for quite some time before going with the black stripes over the white or silver ones. i've always felt that the white are just entirely too bright; they draw too much aesthetic attention. the silver look nice, but i'm trying to generallymaintain a black/blue color scheme. the black rear louvers look great with the black stripes. and now i'm thinking about changing my front grille to a black powdercoated one thateliminates theaux lights... all in all, i'm totally happy with the black/blue combo and i receive a ton of compliments on it

Ink, I agree with you. The white stripes really draw all the attention to them, not to mention everyone with a blue mustang has white stripes. I really liked the look of the silver stripes but I have the pony package with the "chrome" fogs and corral and I added a chrome lower bumper insert. My fear is the silver stripes will clash with the chrome on the car. I think the black (especially in matte) give a nice effect on the blue.

Hey PonyVert - you said in another post yesterday https://mustangforums.com/m_3999240/...tm.htm#3999240
that you had not installed the Roush hood scoop because you were "waiting for a friend to do it" ... It is on in your picture todaythough... Just curious - is it just "placed" there? (kind of looks like it is) If so that is pretty sad. Oh well, like you said - to each his own. maybe one day your friend will install his and you will actually install yours - are your afraid of drilling holes? Maybe just use 3M tape or just keep it in your garage and keep taking pictures of it . What a waste of money - must be nice Good luck to you though man. Do you actually own a "Pony Vert" or just trolling (16 posts on this forum)
Oh wait - I see you say you also "own a 72 LT-1 Vette as well as my Stang" - wow - can you find pictures of a Corvette and post those too? I bet you also own a Porsche [8D] Put your Roush scoop on them please.
You really shouldn't be such a critic yet dude.
btw - regarding "real" posters - Love the Vista Blue (black or white stripes) - great color.

Hope this helps. They look a bit shinier since I waxed them, but should give you an idea.

RE: Vista Blue w/ Matte Black Stripes
the only matte black on vista blue I have ever seen in person has been apart of one of those "heat" packages down here in so. florida but I think part of the crappiness has to do with that stuff being vinyl. No one said go white, you have many options like silver or maybe even a metallic black. I for one always wondered what it would look like to do a few things, either red stripes (just wish 1 person would do it so I could see), windveil blue stripes (going along with the silver works on tungsten look lol) or maybe white stripes with red pin stripes, for both the mustang colors and some good ole patritotism.
