Scotte-Hello, I am sold on the hood and want to get it in the spring. I love the hoodI have now but it is not functional in any way and want a heat extractor and the softer curves on each side of the hood is great. Can you post more pics with different angles and from the inside of the car. It will help greatly to see the different angles. I also would like to know what the smaller box on the drivers side of the hood does above the CAI? Does it have a route from the front vents? Thanks in advance and great job with the car! J

Thank you all for the compliments![sm=icon_cheers.gif]I don't normally drive this car in the rain(we get hardly any in So. Cal.) since it isn't a daily driver. I have a couple of times with the other hood, and had no issues with water making it to the CAI. As far as water entering through the louvers, this hood comes with two removable fiberglass boxes that attach under the louvers and prevent water from dumping on the engine.
Larmo- Do you mean the GTS2 hood for the GT500 front fascia? Are you putting the GT500 front end on your car? That hood will be available in December.
Pegasus- I'm not big on those louvers at all![:'(]To me, they look too boxy and square for the rest of the car. I have taken off my louvers after I took these pics, and am going to leave it looking clean on the windows for now.

Here are a few pics showing a couple of different angles, plus inside. Sorry they're not great pics. The one's in the shadow show a bit better detail. I will get some much better pics at the Sunset Showdown car show this Sunday and post them up. Yes, the box on the drivers side is for ram air flow to the CAI. In fact it fits perfectly over the FRPP CAI that I have with the Whipple, and directs air directly into it, as can be seen by the black area on my air filter. I did trim the sides of the air filter shroud a bit so it actually fits partially up inside the box.

RE: New TruFiber GTS2 hood
Yo I have the same car in Vista Blue (no stripes) my hood is being painted installed right now. I am really glad I saw this because I also have a Whipple HO supercharger and was wondering if the heat extraction louvers caused any water problems when it rains??
Also, do you see any horsepower love from the ram air?
Car looks great!!

RE: New TruFiber GTS2 hood
Mine was not that great when delivered, and was going to be such a hassle to send back, they were not easy to work with, that I paid the extra money to have it preped correctly. All in all it will be over $1100 to get the hood painted and installed, and I got 5 quotes all in the same ballpark. There was a lot of pitting on my hood, and a fairly pronounces (1/4") long indention/imperfection on the front of the hood. There was no shipping damage, it's just how the hood was manufactured.
There are a few fairly prominent striation marks (like stresslines but not actually cracks)in fiberglass at the front as well. I am hoping they won't be a structural problem later, it doesn't look like it now.
I have learned, you get what you pay for. If you want a much better hood, you pay more and there is less prep work to pay for. If you buy a cheaper hood, like these, and want it to look great, you pay for the prep work.
I am concerned now, a little late, after reading this, about driving my car in the rain with the louvers open? From what I understand, there is a chance the coil will short out. Has anyone had the problem? If so I need to close up the vents, and that will be an additional cost.
