Whipple Supercharger for 05 GT
Whipple just came out with the price for their twin-screw SC and it can be found at their website:
http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/...sp?ProdID=1208
One question: If this blower puts out 475hp and 500lb/ft tourque, how are the connecting rods going to take it if the optimal for the stock connecting rods is in the 400-430 range?

RE: Whipple Supercharger for 05 GT
Where are the stats on the Paxton. I can't find them. That's MSRP on the Whipple, so I don't it's going to cost that much.
Whipple Polished twin-screw SC with 8 psi is 475 hp and 500 ft-lbs for $6,095 (MSRP)
Vortech V S-Trim Q High-output centrifugal SC (Polished) with 9-10 psi is 480 hp and 420 ft-lbs for $4,599 (Superchargersonline)
Paxton Novi 1000? SC Kit (Polished) is ??? hp and ??? ft-lbs for $3,599 (Superchargersonline)
Isn't the Paxton a centrifugal?
Saleen lists their SC S281 as 400hp and 420 ft-lbs, but they're not listing the 2005 version for sale.
Has Eaton or Kenne Bell come out with a 2005 version yet?
Anyone have an opinion about these or any other SC for a 2005 Mustang?

RE: Whipple Supercharger for 05 GT
According to the Paxton site, the 01-03 Mustang GT blower increases hp 40% HP and 23%tq gain and costs ~$3900. That seems like ~420 hp, and about $1500 less.

In addition, the cost of the whipple blower was $5500, it was $6k polished.
If that is MSRP, what would we reasonably be able to buy it for and how do we go about doing that?

RE: Whipple Supercharger for 05 GT
It sure seems like it. But if the twin screw is what came out a long time ago, the whipple's were like $10K. They make so much more power (in an extreme application, that the NHRA had limitations on their use, so they wouldn't steal the show.
Of course, we aren't going for 3000hp, we know the block, etc. just won't take it long before that..
Bottom line : IMHO, its extra dollars, for over kill that you can't tap into.
