Default Can you change a option on a order?

Just a curiosity question. Can you change an option for a car that is on order if it doesn't have a VIN or build date already scheduled for it? I have been thinking of changing the color of the car and was wondering if it was possible...

Anybody done this before?

Sorry, I don't have an answer for your question but out of curiousity what colors are you struggling between? I really struggled with colors before I got mine, I mean I liked them all except torch red, yellow and white.

I actually ordered the Torch Red. Now I have been thinking about changing it to Redfire.. Black and Windveil Blue also look nice.

I think I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow and see what they say about it

I say go ahead and call em. The worst they can say is no. I test drove a torch red GT and it was very very nice looking. I'm just not a big red person (or white or yellow).

I was told I could change things until the VIN was assigned. I changed my wheels from the upgrade to the stock. I've been thinking about changing stereos from the 500 to the standard, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

My dealer told me that if I changed anything it would be like starting over. That's just what they said - I didn't see anything written down - and actually didn't even ask them about it - they just told me as a 'by the way'.

Don't wait for your car. Koerner Ford in Syracuse, NY has one just like you ordered. RED. 315-474-4275. Talk to Vasko or Tom Kagle.

If they have sold it call a bunch of dealers and find your car on the lot somewhere. You may wait for a 2006 if you just ordered it.

Good luck!

You can change certian things... you couldn't change a v6 to a v8 but you could add or remove a package or even change the color....

i deal with a lot of trucks and sometimes customers wants to change to a different wheelbase, SRW, DWR, two tone paint. but it all depends....
