Plugs keep fouling out. Think I found out the solution

Plugs keep fouling out. Think I found out the solution
I change my plugs and the car starts a few times but runs lean. I come back a few days later and now the car wont start again and the plugs look the same as the last ones. Im wondering if they can go bad that quickly from being too lean? This is the best picture I could get. It almost looks like oil on it too...but there are new pistons and rings so how could that happen?

RE: Plugs keep fouling out. Need some help
It wont idle because the tune was too lean. It sat at 16 onthe AFR and when i reved it to keep the car alive it went down to 15's. I got a new base tune that would be fine now but now i have to get a new set of plugs. I hope that it was just too lean and hot and burned them up. Because if thats not the case then there is something else wrong in the electrical part of the car
Im going to load the tune and new plugs tomorrow. Im hoping that is all this problem was. It just seemed odd that it could foul these plugs up so quickly.
WHy are our plugs 10 bucks each! jebus

Not a very good pic for sure but it defineatley looks like it was real lean.
Also to me "fouled" plugs are when you get too much oil in them and they can no longer produce a spark. A fouled plug you can clean and then it will work again. Yours are toast.
I hope you get it figured out and it is nothing major.

Running lean is asbout as bad as you can do to ruin your motor. Especially with the 2 piece plugs these cars use. That thing gets too hot, breaks the tip off and a whole lot of ugly possibilities pop up. (tapping a piston for one)
If you don't get a new tune, changing plugs is going to be the least of your worries.
BTW: When one of these plugs is fouled, it's not okay to just 'clean them off' - when they are fouled - they need to be trashed.
Back to Dex - are you sure you have enough fuel and spark for your set-up and power level?
