I ran just this past friday night in my 08 couple. I have just a CAI and Brenspeed tune and ran many 8.9's @ 85-86 mph. Launching was either burning the tires off or bogging it, and second and third gear always spun when I hit them. With some DR's I should make a huge improvement. Like has been said, get a CAI + tune, and if you don't have them yet get some good tires and you will spank him. Tires alone would probably do it....

i was seriously looking into a 2001 WS6 not too long ago, the specs look alright, the exterior is ok, a little overdone in some parts, IMO, but the interior is nothing to get excited about. i hear many complaints about the interior on the S197, but i would take it over the WS6 interior. The GTO may have gotten closer to what i would expect from GM, but within in the last 3 years or so, ford has really come along in the design. i guess when all is said and done, i like your mustang better than that TA or Camaro, they both have their pros and cons, but ford comes out ahead.

My 1/8th times were terrible at 9.9 and 75 mph, massive wheelspin. I want some wheels with drs to bolt on and off.

Man, you really don't have the much horsepower to make up for. You can do it. And remember. It is not the car, it is the driver!

Ive seen autos stock with nothing more then 4.10's run 8.3's in cool weather at the local track. you can easily beat 8.9 with n othing more then a gear

Z-28 is a 5.7 litre engine vs 4.6 . When will Ford build us something of that size?

I read in a magazine that in 2011 the GT will have a 5.4...with 400 ponies,maybe more.
