Most of the Synthetic gear oil brands already have the limited slip additive in them.

Another thing, where is the best placement for a jack to individually lift the front wheels?

and note that you *must* use synthetic fluid.. in fact it says so righ ton my rear with a sticker.. AND before youdrain the rear.. break the fill plug loose first. I have known people who drain the rear and then after they cannot get the fill plug loose.. then you have problems..

I'm one of those freaks around here who doesn't know jack squat about cars and wouldn't feel comfy doing this myself without an illustrated step by step. I wonder how much the dealer would set me back for doing the labor on this.

A lot of oils say you don't need the friction modifier, but do yourself a favor and put in 1 bottle of Ford friction modifier - you will need it. I hate using RTV to seal the cover. I found a gasket called "Lube Locker", very cool part. It's a high quality gasket with several thin beads of RTV (cured) around the whole gasket. Costs a few bucks, but it can be used over and over again. Well worth the bucks.

I used the friction Modifier and Royal Purple 75W 140W, Changed this at 10000 miles and used the Ford cover with the lube locker gasket.
