Default New Fusion Keys

Anyone know if we can get the new fusion keys to work with the stang? My wife's Caliber has this type of key and like having the fob as part of the key.

Thanks

This is good to know. Is there any special things I need to know? Any special programing instructions? Lets hear from someone who has done this. If so I think this should be in the "how to" section.

This is good to know. Is there any special things I need to know? Any special programing instructions? Lets hear from someone who has done this. If so I think this should be in the "how to" section.
It's very simple. The procedure for programming the key portion and the remote portion are both in the car's manual, but I'll paste them in here. Just buy the key off eBay, take it to Ace, and get it cut for free (Most everyone that had it done at Ace reports not having to pay, including myself). Of course, for this to work, you will need to have both keys.

Key Programming:
[hr]If you want to add a key....
[blockquote]**You must have two original keys to perform this procedure. If you only have one key, you WILL have to take it to the dealer to get it programmed**[/blockquote][blockquote]1. Insert and existing (working) key into the ignition cylinder.[/blockquote][blockquote]2. Turn the ignition cylinder ON (RUN) and back to OFF. Ignition should stay on for at least ONE SECOND.[/blockquote][blockquote]3. Remove the existing key and, within TEN seconds, insert a second working key and turn it to ON (RUN) and the back OFF. Ignition must be in ON for at least ONE second, but no more than TEN seconds. Remove the key.[/blockquote][blockquote]4. Insert the new key before TWENTY seconds have elapsed and turn it to ON (RUN). Leave it the ON position for at least ONE second and turn back to OFF.[/blockquote][blockquote]5. The security light will light up for THREE seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.[/blockquote][blockquote]6. To program additional keys, repeat steps 1 through 5

[/blockquote]
[hr]Remote Programming:
[hr]How to reprogram your remote entry transmitters
You must have all remote entry transmitters (maximum of six)
available before beginning this procedure.

Note: Ensure the brake pedal is not
depressed during this sequence.

To reprogram the remote entry
transmitters:

[blockquote] 1. Ensure the vehicle is electronically unlocked.

2. Put the key in the ignition.

3. Cycle eight times rapidly (within 10 seconds) between the 1
(OFF/LOCK) position and 3 (ON). (Full cycles, meaning go back AND
forth 8 times for a total of 16 turns of the key.)

Note: The eighth turn must end in the 3 (ON) position. The doors will
lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming mode has been
activated.

4. Within 20 seconds press any button on the remote entry transmitter.
Note: If more than 20 seconds have passed you will need to start the
procedure over again. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that
this remote entry transmitter has been programmed.

5. Repeat Step 4 to program each additional remote entry transmitter.

6. Turn the ignition to the 1 (OFF/LOCK) position after you have
finished programming all of the remote entry transmitters. Note: After
20 seconds, you will automatically exit the programming mode. The
doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming mode has
been exited. [/blockquote]

I did mine it worked great, check out eBay for some good deals on the key (theres an auction to get 2 keys for $79) ...if you have a Lowe's by you, they will cut the key for free.

Yes, it does not work for 2005's or 2006's. The remote will work, but the key won't. Several have tried.
