Mine shakes, driving 120+ regularly (Live in germany) I have never had any issues with it though, even with the center rubber adjusters all the way up. Never thought of the weatherstrip though, sounds like its worth a try. Anyone know if hood pins prevents this? I would assume so, but with the shape of the hood I wonder if its flexing in the middle instead of vibrating from the front

just to easy you guys minds.. This is quite common on other cars too. I am on another car forum(Toyota) and some over there suffer the same issue at high speeeds. The hood bumper adjustment takes cars of the problem too.

might be time for hood pins.....

My hood started shaking on the drivers side, when on the freeway.
I had the bumpers adjusted. It was fine for about a month. Then doing 80 on the freeway one night I heard the hood pop!!! Luckly the safety latch caught it!
After that I got the hood pins installed. Would of been great if the install wasn't JACKED!
Another day for part two of that story..........
Saddle, did u just get a orange GT500???

Mine did the same thing, even with the stops adjusted. Here was my fix:

Do you guys drop your hoods? Mine doesn't close unless I drop it from 4+ feet. No shaking here, though.
Our hoods are aluminum, so you have to drop them to make up for the lack of extra weight.
The latch was designed for a heavier hood.

Anyway, from the first week of owning the car, I put a lighter latch spring and it will close from 5 inches high.
Found the spring at LOWES, they have a great assortment. One from a F150 (97/03) does the trick too.

PS: That spring isn't gonna interfere with the good functionment of the latch mecanism.
It's out of the equation once the hood is shut.

My hood also shakes at highway speeds. Never had it come loose. I have, however, had some problems getting the hood to pop when I pulled the latch to release it.

I had the same problem going 85 on the highway!! Scared the sh*t out of me, thought it was gonna pop off cuz it was shakin like crazy!! I think its just the wind that gets under it causing it to lift!!
Our front ends being shaped like a brick doesnt help at all cuz the aerodynamics aren't very good....
Im gonna try the rubber trick like people have said they had done!!!
