Default Exhaust Article

I found this article comparing several axleback mufflers for the S197. It has sound clips also. Thought it might help someone trying to decide on a muffler setup.

Good find. I didn't realize that the JBA's were the loadest among the axlebacks they tested. I guess I am going to keep them.

Borla stingers are not legal here in CA because of noise, yet JBAs are legal here. Something doesn't seem right. I thought the borlas would be loader than the JBAs.

Yeah I thought JBA's were more of an improvement over the stock exhaust, you know only slightly louder. Though looking at their charts it doesn't seem they tested all of the mufflers for dB level. Surely the SLP's would be much louder...

Thanks for the find BTW

I think JBA is CARB approved, whereas others are not.

I'm not sure how they measured the sound, but I didn't think JBA was that loud.

Glad you guys found the article helpful/interesting.
