I use a 2001 Volvo S60 as my DD and it has 47,000 miles on it. My 2006 Mustang GT has 794 miles on it. That's right 794 miles. I drive it to Starbucks on Saturday mornings but really fast!!!! (I just purchased an Escort 9500ix radar/laser detector.) I don't drive my baby to work because other employees beat the crap out of each others cars.

Well I have never used this car as a DD and it IS DRIVEN and I enjoy it just as much every time I get into it like I did the first time I bought the car. I have the luxury of a separate DD and I use it for whatever suits my needs/wants. Finances are not an issue at this point in my life and I totally understand where you are coming from EAST87....... I did the same thing when I was your age and 13 yrs later I still have what I want and enjoy life in general to the fullest..... once you start your career and get established the rest will be much easier for you.... I thought my 20's were amazing and loads of fun and my 30's are proving to be much more fun as I have no worries about money and am very content with my decisions (about life or the car).....

I drive a 98 Ford explorer DD, but I still have 22,000 on my stang from Nov 06 delivery date from build. I take my wife and daughter on trips, and really has been a device to meet all sorts of people and discussions just being out with it on beautiful days.

Since I have a fully changerd out suspension and Supercharged, I can't wait to drive it every chance I get, Erik

Daily driver all the way. I was going to get another car or motorcycle for my daily commute to work so I wouldn't put non-fun driving miles on my stang, but then I realized that I bought the car to drive and not to keep in a garage. As much as we all love our cars, I think we all must realize that they are only cars when it comes down to it. I will never have my mustang spending 6 days a week in a garage, just so it doesn't get some dirt on it or some chips in the paint from gravel on the road. Mustangs are meant to be driven, as with all other cars.

I have an 06'Freestyle LTD awd for a daily driver and soon I'll get a new 4x4 Ranger for a company vehicle. I'll prolly miss my Freestyle when I have to park it,it has a kick azz stereo. As for my 07'GT I totally enjoy every mile it gets driven and every time the light turns green.

My 05 convertible is so much fun it is my daily driver - except when there is snow on the ground. The down side it already has 75,000 miles and a couple of nice dings on the hood from road debris.

I do have an ulterior motive. As it wears out it gives me an excuse to buy the Shelby!! Can’t take it with you!

if I didn't work from home and had to go to an office everyday, I would definitely have a "beater" as a DD

Soon as the wife is back at work full time we'll get her a new economical car and I'll keep the durango as a DD/winter driver. Putting some miles on the stang is fun it just depends on the miles. I wouldnt want to commute in mine 100 miles a day I would prefer it last me 10 or 20 years.
