Installing CD Player
Hi I have a 2005 Mustang v6, and I want to install an aftermarket cd player, I was looking for some help, on how to go about that. And tutorials out there, or anyone who has done it. Thanks in advance.

RE: Installing CD Player
My thread on fixing my Skipper1000 has part numbers and brand names listed in it for a face plate and wiring harness that will work for you.
Here are the docs on removing the console, console face plate, and radio. They are also on the site somewhere as PDF documents which are probably ALOT better quality than these jpegs.

RE: Installing CD Player
Hey Hawgman,
Thanks for the pages showing how to remove the Shaker. I am planning on changing my Shaker 500 out soon and this will be extremely helpful. I read your Skipper1000 thread and was wondering if you had any pages showing the schematics for the audio system and was it very difficult to get he back seat up. I want to mount amps in my trunk and run the wires up to the front.
Thanks,

RE: Installing CD Player
No schmatics for the audio system, sorry. But the wiring harness that I suggested has a color coded schmatic telling you what wire on the plug to connect to what wire on the new head unit. I guess if you were looking to reverse engineer it, it wouldn't be that hard to plug it in, check the wire color, then see what color wire on the car side comes out of that plug.
As for the back seat, it takes about 20 seconds to pop out and remove. Just held in with two plastic clips.
