Default V6 Mustang: Manual or Automatic in a big city?

Hey guys I'm thinking about getting a V6 Mustang but I have no idea which transmission would be better especially that I live in a large city. Many people told me that I should definitely go with an automatic because it would be a pain shifting gears every 5 seconds because of the heavy traffic and traffic signals. I know that a manual could be more fun but would it be worth the headache? Any advice??

From experience, being from NY myself, I say go automatic. But at the same time, there's also public transportation lol.

Default I'd go with the auto

I bought my V6 convertible about a month ago. I also live in the middle of a big city and spend a lot of time in traffic. I'd make that choice again. Shifting a 5 speed is so much more engaging than an auto, and I'd really love to have one some days when I'm out on the weekends. If the Stang is going to be your daily driver, though, I'd go with the auto. The V6 auto actually has prett good acceleration and downshifts smoothly to pass. It's a good choice.

go with an auto who the hell drives a stick lol stick is for a professional driver or nascar lol. A computer shifts faster and dont make mistakes than a stick with a human. lol we are in 2000's not in the 60's 70's nobody drives a stick in the 2000's .

If your doing lots of (big) city driving then Auto is a MUST.

If you dont do a lot of (big) city driving then Manual is a MUST.

For your situation I would say Auto all the way.

I have a manual and its great for where I live. When I visit my friends in Orlando and I have to get on I-4 during rush hour it's a pain. I don't mind doing that every so often, but for everyday driving, I think I would want to kill myself or at least kick myself for not getting an automatic.

Having driven both....I would have to say if I live where busy traffic was an every day occurrance....I would suggest going with the automatic. If you do go standard, you'll spend the biggest part of your time in the car shifting up and down...and if you are in stop and go traffic, you'll be lucky to get to 4th gear.
