Default Idle

The past month or so when I start my car it idles at 1500 for 4 or 5 minutes and then
went down to 1000. After 3 or 4 more minutes it goes down to 700.

Well last weekend I took the CAI off and went back to stock and it has cut
those times in half. Anyone heard of this?

Anyone looking to buy my 6 month old BBK CAI fir $100 with free shipping?
PM me.

My car has been doing that here recently too. I assume it may have something to do with the winter additives that refineries are adding. Performance wise, I haven't seen any decrease. I've thought of adding some fuel treatment to see if it helps.

These cars have something built into them that bumps the idle up until the motor is warm. I would say the stock box has cut the time in half because of the restricted air flow, put your CAI back on it's normal!

I don't know why, but it sounds as if the electronic choke (or equivalent thereof) may be airflow sensitive.
