The comparison that I saw showed the JLT made more hp than all others tested. C&L came in a close second. Since the reason for a CAI is for more hp, go with what makes the most. Buttt, don't forget the all important tune. As everyone has already stated, Bama or Brentspeed FTW!!!

only if you get a intake that is a notune required unit. if not you will get a check engine light bc of the extra air coming into the motor. k&n makes one that will work the stock tune. but you will not gain the claimed hp without the tune. the hp comes from the tune. also the butt dyno is a lot more noticable with a tune.
imo dont get the intake unless you are gettin a tune too

Ah, Well i was looking into the JLT install instructions and it said do not drive without tune so i guess im gonna wait. Since the CAI isnt what makes the difference i guess it would be kinda stupid to go for the carbon fiber steeda intake since its so expensive.

Its killin me lol, i have the money for the intake and tune and im pretty sure i can install it myself but i told the parents id save some of the christmas money for gas ugh.

I've had the Steeda CAI/SCT tune from Brenspeed on my car for two years. The intake directions were straight forward and I was able to install myself with simple tools. Be sure to get an emissions tune so you won't have to switch back to stock come inspection time.

Get the JLT/Tuner kit from either Brenspeed or Bama. It's around $550. It's the lowest cost, but makes the most hp. You don't have to be a Harvard grad to figure that one out.

5.0 mustangs and fast fords (I believe) did an article on private dyno test results for all major CAI's. JLT won over C&L barely. Some of the others were close and some were nowhere near. Maybe someone can find this article...
