Gt 500 spoiler: The Spoiler Store

You can get a nice cheap OE v6 spoiler from newtakeoff - prepainted. It may come a bit scratched (lightly), but if you use some rubbing compound and some wax - it will shine

Like others have said I ordered this spoiler and did have issues with it... I had to go through three spoilers before getting a good one, and even that one wasn't perfect. But it was good enough so I kept it and it looks great on the car... color match is perfect and it looks pretty killer. Just be careful when you remove the factory spoiler... I used waxed dental floss and me and my boyfriend sawed through the adhesive but in the process I cut my finger so I'd suggest wearing some gloves for protection. It took about two hours to get it off as well as all the leftover adhesive... that was the hardest part. We used Goo Gone and even then there's still feint impressions on the decklid from where the old spoiler was. The new spoiler covers most of those marks but they're still partly visible. So I think the longer you have the stock spoiler on there the harder it's going to be to get off. Other than that we had to buy more washers because the two they give your for both screws aren't enough. We needed at least three on each side to pull the spoiler down flush with the decklid. It was only when we did that that the adhesive underneath the spoiler adhered almost all the way to the surface. It still doesn't go all the way down at the sides, though, but so far so good.

No. I had mine installed at the local Ford dealer's body shop. With the 3M tape and two drilled holes it installs just fine and has remained stable. I was thinking about a DIY install, but the dealer installed my GT500 spoiler (also sourced from the Spoiler Store) including removing the old one, and also installed two "Powered by Ford" fender emblems including removal of the stock "GT" badges. The whole thing cost $100, which I thought was reasonable, particularly since I would have taken much longer and probably screwed it up.
Also, I got the pre-painted GT500 spoiler from the Spoiler Store and I couldn't be happier with it.

Its not hard man, was my 1st mod as well besides the shorty antenna. Just take your time and you will be fine. I only used the 2 holes and I was in Germany when my daily commute would take me to 150mph. The spoiler is still there and on there really good...
