Default Rattle

I finally got out and tried to find the rattles I'm hearing when I drive my 07 GT. They sound like they're coming from the doors. I followed the tutorial on here. The left mirror didn't have the loose screw that the tutorial talks about, but on the back of the mirror, that metal spring or whatever it is was loose. I put some silicone under it and that fixed that. It's visible on the left side in this picture from the tutorial:

The right side mirror didn't have that clip / spring / whatever it is. (Or at least I don't remember seeing one.) And the screw wasn't loose on that side either. I tried to get the right mirror to rattle after I put it back together, but I don't think it's the mirror doing it on that side.

Driving the car yesterday, I don't hear the rattle on the left side, so that must be what caused it. However, I still have a rattle on the right side.

So what should I check next? What's the next most likely thing to be rattling on that side? It sounds like it's coming from somewhere around the front of the right door.

If you don't get any specific suggestions as to what is causing the rattle, I would suggest having a passenger listen with a stethoscope to isolate the location.

My chrome AC vents use to rattle alot. I pulled them off and placed some cushion tape along the inside, and it is no longer a problem.

Another rattle culprit is the little square piece of plastic near the inside door handle. That also can be pulled off and reinstalled with some cushion tape.

I have the same issue with the vibrating near the passenger dash, I was out there today trying to figure out where exactly it was coming from but no success. How do I take the vents off?

Be very delicate, but all you need is a small screw driver to pry the vent loose. I believe there are only two or three clips that hold the vent on.

I have a lose screw but nothing rattles me!

So it's not good enough that our mirrors are ugly but they have to be unreliable on top of it...
Damn it! We can't win.

Glad you fixed your problem though.
