Speed Channel Test Drives the 2010 Mustang
Just saw the teaser for this tonight. Tommy Kendall is doing a test drive of the 2010 GT through the streets of San Francisco in the spot! He looks to be driving a Grabber Blue Vert, with a Black coupe following and he actually does launch it off one of the hills!
They also filmed parts in the desert, which might mean high speed testing...
Set your recorders! Saturday at 7:30 ET on Speed TV!
I just set mine for 4:30 pm on channel 607 with my Direct TV.
Giddy up!

I'm watching it right now!
First off, it is just so cool to see Tommy Kendall, who really knows Mustangs talking to the camera while he is driving through the streets of SF! The sound is terrific, which is strange because he's driving a convertible, but there is no wind noise.
If you've ever driven there you know how those thoughts and sounds from Bullitt will come creeping into your mind! Especially when you make a right turn and punch it.
The GT's they first drive are a Grabber Blue vert and a Kona Blue coupe. They do a drive through Marin County on a rainy day, talking back and forth while driving, which is a cool apt of the Test Drive show.
Then they go out to the desert and meet with Mustang Forum's cover page star Vaughn Gittin Jr.

JR does some drifting with what looks like the same stock Kona Blue GT(with tinted windows), with the base 5-spoke wheels. Tommy drives a Red Candy Metallic GTthat seems to share most of the options.
They get to have fun on a wet skid pad. Makes me want to take the Car out and... uh... wait a minute! It never rains here! oh well!
Then it's off to the drag strip. They have a good run down the strip, then Tommy hops into a new Kona Blue GT500! It blows away the GT!
They then drive fast through the Arizona desert with the GT500 and a Grabber Blue GT coupe with a Ford Racing blower, giving the car about 400hp.
What I really got from watching this was that there are going to be a lot of 2005-2009 owners that will be more than happy to upgrade to the new car, even with the same basic engine. The new power dome hood really sets this GT apart from the earlier models.
Once prices come down to invoice prices expect this to be the first choice of most folks to replace a suddenly much older car.

That was a very entertaining show and the cars looked fabulous.
The Grabber Blue......WOW!
Must have been some early (pre-production) 2010s. I noticed some GTs with the parking lights to the right of the headlights and some with the parking lights on the opposite side.
Wilkinda: This must have got you chomping at the bit waiting for your Grabber Blue. I bet you're darn happy with your choice of color though.
