I don't have a video but I'll give try to give you a more complete explanation. Hope the pictures come out ok, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to linking pictures and such things...

The picture shown of the shifter on the website and catalog shows only the components you receive. These components install into the factory shifter base. You are essentially replacing the factory shift lever/pivot assembly with a shorter throw version.

I've attached some pictures of a display piece I borrowed from our showroom that show what everything looks like once assembled onto the factory shifter base.

This first picture shows the assembly on the stock base.
The new lever attaches to the bottom of the factory shift rod just like the factory shifter. The resulting installation will have shorter throws and a firmer, more positive feel.

This picture gives you a closer look at the assembly. Note you now have adjustable stops available that the stock shifter does not have. The whole assembly is nickel plated for durability. This shifter is as quiet as stock and does not add any significant NVH to the vehicle.

This last picture just gives us another different angle on the assembly. Also note all the pictures show our urethane bushings that are available separately for the stock shifter base which further improve shifter feel.

Between the sport shifter and the bushings it is by far the best bang for the buck short throw shifter combination for the 2005-2010 Mustang that is not only quiet but feels great. It is also the only shifter that will currently work with the new 2010 Mustang as of this post. At their normal prices the shifter and bushings come out to only 144.95.

Very tempting on the shifter. I was looking at the Billet Hurst too. How much better is it to use a new shifter base compared to the stock? Stronger, built better?
