I ordered a GT Premium Convertable in May (to be built next week) at $555 below dealer standard invoice. So there are some apparent deals available. One dealer in town has about 6 GT's on the lot now, and one convertable. They just came in a couple weeks ago so we'll see over time if my deal was as good as I thought!

I always spec out my cars online (MSN auto, edmunds, chrome carbook, etc) to get the invoice price. Then I subtract available rebates, then start negotiations from there.

When I bought my wifes Honda Pilot, I emailed a bunch of Honda dealerships and asked for their best price on the car. I knew beforehand about the $3K rebate. One dealer responded with invoice -$3000, so I went in an bought it.

So, email a bunch of Ford dealerships (usually get their internet sales dept) and ask for best price. Then talk trade. If your state is like mine, there are a ton of Ford dealerships you can shop within driving distance. Most places can find the car you want and do a dealer transfer too.

I picked a GT premium up last week. I got X plan with 3.55 rear and 18 inch wheels. I walked out with TTL included at 31000.

I ordered a Torch Red GT Premium, 3.73, 19" Premium wheels, & Comfort pkg. on May 9, for 500 over invoice. Mine, like Cannon's, will be born next week. It's almost August and I have yet to see a '10 on the road in my area, so maybe I didn't do too bad. All depends where you are I guess.

Got mine for just a few bucks over invoice. '10 GT w/ 3.73 gears and comfort package. Put down a large down payment, and financed the rest. 0% financing AND a $1000 rebate.

Didn't try to negociate anything.
Well, end of the year is here and I think I'm going to buy my 2010. Deals are going on to the tune of 5k off sticker... yes, on GT's. Even more on the highly optioned cars that are very pricey(too pricey). How about GT Deluxes for $23,785 with zero options. That is $5100 off sticker and you still get the great financing. Anyone think they will be much cheaper when the 11' is announced?

Better act fast if you want to deduct the federal tax when you file next year. I'm happy with the rebate + 0% financing + tax deduction + $14k AMEX paid
