i have the NAV system and tried the same things that those with the non-NAV have tried. mine DOES NOT have this issue

The noise on mine is audible up to 4 bars with music playing. It might be worse now than when I bought the car. On a side note, I'm real impressed with the quality of this system at all. My Nissan Frontier with the Rockford Fosgate system blew this away as far as clarity and sheer power. I have a CD of some good clean rock such as steely dan, dire straits, pink floyd etc. that sounded stunning in my truck and just average in the mustang. There seems to be some real issues in the midrange.....real murky. Just my opinion.

I think the front speakers sound pretty good. I wasn't thrilled with the bass but I had a spare 10" woofer laying around so I slapped it in the trunk. Sounds really nice now.

Alright, after nearly 4 months of reading replies to this thread and thinking I must be deaf or very lucky...I went out to listen for a third time! WTF! Now I hear it! Not only is a soft background static, aka; white noise, present, but I can very faintly hear the radio, sirius or whatever input it may be on. Of course this is with my head to the front door speaker. So, either I have the noise now too, or I've lost my mind. BTW, I have the non-Nav Shaker 500.

To display the code, take pen and paper to your car and:
1. Turn radio on and put the radio on an AM or FM channel.
2. Press 3 and 6 simultaneously.
3. Before it stops testing the speakers press 6.
4. Then press the UP button and you see the reference code. Write it down.

Non nav owners, with or without the noise, please report.

So far VRFlip is the only one with a different ACM code and even he has the noise.
