Valve cover solenoid grommets

Valve cover solenoid grommets
I'm getting my valve covers powder coated and I removed them from the car today. Well, the buddy I was working with accidentally punctured one of the oil solenoid grommets. It's just a small hole off to the edge. So my question is, do I need to replace the grommet, and if I do would ford sell just the grommets separate from the valve cover or solenoids? Thanks.

Yeah, if you don't you're liable to get an engine oil leak like I did when I popped the VCT solenoid seals back in my powdercoated cam covers. I think the part number is 7L1Z-6C535-AA, costs about six or seven bucks from stealer.

Don't quote me on this, but I think that part number depends on what year your car is. I bought some valve covers from someone online and these seals were wrong for my car, had to get replacements.

I got the covers back from the shop today and they will be going on the car next week. Here's a pic of the covers off the car. I haven't completely reseated the solenoid grommets yet as they have a real tight fit, that's why they are kinda raised up. I'll also post a pic once I put them on the car.
