Next mod!
I need help figuring out what mod I wanna do next!
Recent stuff has cut my spending, sooo It'll require a bit more saving up than it would have in the past..
Right now, aside from appearance stuff, I have a American Muscle SCT Tuner, and GT-Take off muffler.
I'm thinking along the lines of...
Single SLP Loudmouth Axleback,
Steeda or C&L CAI
Underdrive Pulleys (What brand is best to go with? And can I do the install myself?)
Rear sway bar (Gt take-off? What parts would I need?)
Also a big one I'm looking at
T-Locks! (Can I do the install myself? And do I need stuff other than just the T-Locks they sell on AM?
Any other suggestions?
I'm not looking to do anything extremely expensive..(dual conversion, etc),
Also,
This is my DD, I'm looking for more performance/handling type stuff right now,
Note,
I'm not really looking towards FI down the line...if I did anything it'd just be a nitrous kit. Blowers are too pricey for me.

The next step you need to take is getting a cold air intake and upgrading your tuner for intake.
I would go with the JLT: http://muscle.am/omMdnv as it will get you the best performance on your V6
After you do that, changing out the rear gears(3.73 or 4.10) and swapping in a traction-lok differential will get you much better acceleration and keep you from doing one-legged burnouts. The Ford Racing kit is definitely the way to go for the differential: http://muscle.am/rtlwg2

I disagree on the headers.
I think that should be further down your list unless you plan on camming or going F.I.
The headers really aren't gonna give you but a blibbit of performance unless you get cammed or go forced induction with a supercharger or turbo.
As far as performance for the money, they are down there pretty low on the list when they are used by themselves and for performance.
Long tube headers give better flow for the car where it is needed on a cammed or F.I. car.
With the stock setup you have good breathing room and really you probably wont see much of a gain at all.
You may not even notice it. That being said... you might notice a slight increase in power.
People vary on what they "feel" when it comes to power and noticing it.
Gains on even a cammed GT only net you about 15rwhp on top of the cams.
Without the cams you will see even less in all reality I believe.
I say get a CAI and re adjust the tune (for free of course if you bought them from AM), then maybe look at gears and after that underdrive pulley.
After that I'd say cams if you are not planning on going forced induction.
If you were I'd say a Supercharger kit and cam later if you want.
A NSR cam will net a GT about 20-28 rwhp, and with long tubes about 40rwhp.
Why cams before long tubes if you chose BETWEEN the two?
Cams will give you more performance, they also add a great sound, and they also
give that awesome shake to a car. More bang on performance alone and more things other than performance.
If you do plan on doing cams in the future... then long tube headers would be a good investment.
Not sure what the market offers as far as cams for a V6 engine though.
I do know they make custom regrinds and I believe there is one company that makes
a full fresh new cam.

I would check a muffler shop and see how much they would charge for a dual kit. Don't quote me on this but I would not think it would be too much. As for the mufflers I personally would not waste your money on the axleback, since the SLP is a bullet/resonator style muffler. If you go to a muffler shop they can simply cut out a piece of the existing pipe, place the SLP in there and weld it back together. This will be a lot cheaper than paying around $350 for basically a pair of tips. Here is the link for the resonators, basically the same thing as the loudmouth just cheaper

Note: yes I know it says for 79-04, but as long as the V6 has the same 2.5" pipe the GT's do then this will fit.
